After chasing a pair of car theft suspects who used three different cars to flee from police, officers shot and wounded them and took them into custody.

The chase began at Lower Highway 79 and Horizon View Street near Temecula about 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, when a deputy tried to stop a Dodge Durango that had been reported stolen out of San Diego on May 26, sheriff's Investigator Jerry Franchville said.
